The connection between Africa and Israel is over 3,000 years old, dating back to the Queen of Sheba’s visit of King Solomon in Jerusalem. Today, Israel’s relationship with Africa is stronger than ever, and this has great implications for Black Americans, Israelis, and the American Jewish community.
Join IBSI Founder & CEO Dumisani Washington and the Simon Weisenthal Center for a special Israel, Zionism, Africa, & Black America.

How did Black Americans and Africans become so embroiled in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict? Why was the Conflict a talking point for Dr. King and the civil rights leaders, or for Nelson Mandela and the anti-apartheid movement in South Africa? How did Israel become a focal point of Black Lives Matter? Why are the Jewish people and Israel recurring topics for Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam?
These are some of the subjects we tackle in the in-person event, Israel, Zionism, Africa, & Black America: Where We Go From Here.
Join Institute for Black Solidarity with Israel Founder & CEO, Dumisani Washington for this crucial conversation and learn what you can do to shape the future.
